Castle in Mnichovo Hradiště from confistation to disclosure

This work shows history of the castle in Mnichovo Hradiště. It deals with history of the castle, but the main topic is what happened in 20. century. How the owners behave towards to the castle, what changed when the castle was confiscated. The work is based on archive material stored in the National archiv in Prag, Mnichovo Hradiště Municipal museum. It also works with the chroniclas of Mnichovo Hradiště, memories of citizens and handwirtten memories of the citizens. Used also contemporary local newspapers. Mnichovo Hradiště 1866-1895. Daily life of the small town in the second half of 19th century.

The diploma thesis outlines the history of the small district town in the second half of the 19th century from a political (government, local government, modernization), economical (transport, especially railways, industrial development) and cultural (socials, social activities, theatre, festivities) point of view. Attention is paid to social, national and religious problems and education. Included are also some portraits of the most prominent personalities of the town. Special Attention is paid to Austro-Prussian war (conflict between Austria and Prussia) in 1866 and on the impact of this exceptional event on people and life in the town. The work is based on archival materials stored in State district archive in Mladá Boleslav and Mnichovo Hradiště Municipal museum, local chronicles, handwritten memories of the local citizens and contemporary regoinal newspapers were taken into account as well as historical works of a synthetic character.

Project Proposal of a Catering Facility

The aims of this bachelor thesis are to analyse catering facilities in Mnichovo Hradiště, to carry out a survey among the locals about their demand and satisfaction with the current supply, to find a niche market based on its results and to design a new facility that would fill the market niche. Firstly, the thesis deals with a theoretical basis concerning catering services and preparation of a business plan, which is followed by an introduction of the researched locality. The practical part of the thesis presents the results of the analysis of catering facilities in the form of comparative tables and interprets the results of the survey about the demand for catering facilities in Mnichovo Hradiště and about satisfaction of residents with the current supply. In the last part of the thesis, a new facility is designed in the terms of the main target customers, category, size, location, main products and marketing strategy.

Urbanonyms in the city of Mnichovo Hradiště

This diploma thesis deals with urbanonyms (place-names) in town Mnichovo Hadiště. Our task is a list of names of streetsin the historic heart of town, names of adjacent streets and streets of the newerneighborhoods. We follow the evolution of naming streets after the first third of the 20th century to the present. Street names sorted in terms of sociolinguistic. Particularattention is given to the honores theme and its variations during the historicaldevelopment. The work is supplemented by alphabetical index of street names. The aim of this work is to contribute to onomastika (own naming names) in town Mnichovo Hradiště.
